Dealing with personal paradox

This is something I meditate on regularly. How can I speak up on issues I find important when they seem to counter to each other?   How can I assemble a workable world view when the various parts are in conflict with each other?

For example, I spend most of my days trying to help Life express itself by removing distortions, imbalances, or stagnation in the flow of chi through the skeleton, skin, mind and nervous system.  It would be easy to assume, and you would be right that I am against abortion.

I am a veteran, father, Oathkeeper, watchdog, guardian and other duties.  Which explains why I am in strong support of the 2nd amendment of the formative contract that allows a government to exist among a free people.

How do these seemingly opposite positions come together in a single world view?  I’ll answer this in the comments later today.  Please feel free to chime in.

I truly believe the only way to solve the health care crisis in America today is each person stand up and take responsibility for their own well being.  Depending on any controlling third party, either insurance or government will only increase costs while decreasing the well being of the American people.

With love,

Fountain of Youth Program

Does this sound familiar?

You work like an animal your whole life just to make it in a society and an economy that demands more and more of your time and energy.

As a result you neglect your health — not because you want to — simply because you don’t have the time or energy left after working all day to pay attention to what you eat and how you live.

The years slowly roll by and soon enough the effects of age begin to show themselves. The wrinkles and gray hair stand out, your skin loses its luster, and you see a layer of fat show up around your belly and hips.

The older you get, the more your waist line starts to expand. And, despite the increasing discomfort you experience as you gain, it seems like there is nothing you can do to reverse the spiral of increasing heaviness.

You try dietary approach after approach. You might lose a little, but it comes back in no time… and it is usually accompanied by a additional heaviness you didn’t have BEFORE you went on yet-another-diet.

Eventually you may even start getting sick.

It starts out slowly, so slowly you might not even realize you are getting ill. You have minor symptoms like increasing fatigue and brain fog… forgetting where you put the keys. In fact, you think this is “just what it is like to get old.” After all, that’s what we were all taught.

More years pass and you begin to approach retirement. As you do, more and more health problems creep up on you. You visit your doctor when you develop these problems and you are prescribed pharmaceutical medications you don’t want to take, often because they have side effects you don’t wish to endure.

Finally you retire — hoping for some relaxation from this whole unhealthy process.

But the health problems you’ve acquired over a lifetime of living take too much of a toll, so instead of happily playing with your grandkids and traveling to all the places you never had time to see when you were working, you now have so little energy and are so sick that you are either at the doctor’s office or in bed. And you have to take so many medications you carry around a pill box just to keep them organized.

Your remaining years go by in a frantic fight to improve your health, and you live the hard elder life that too many people suffer from in their last few years.

Then that’s it…

I know, it sounds a bit depressing to think about. But the truth is this is how too many Americans live today.

However, you don’t HAVE to live this way. You have a choice. Life is not supposed to be like this. You don’t have to live your later years suffering from less than optimal health.

I have recently introduced my Fountain of Youth Intensive care system, you are sure to feel 20 years younger in body, mind and spirit within 30 days!!

Call 816-436-9355 and ask Sharon when you can start feeling young again!

Reverse the aging process

Dr. Dana King and his team of researchers at the Medical University of South Carolina have just completed a very inspirational study.  Dr. King and his team set out to find if middle-aged adults could reap the rewards of habits like eating vegetables and walking 30 minutes a day.

The researchers reported in June 2007 that middle-aged adults age 45 to 64 who began eating five or more fruits and vegetables every day, exercising for at least 2 1/2 hours a week, keeping weight down and not smoking decreased their risk of heart disease by 35 percent and risk of death by 40 percent in the four years after they started.

“The adopters of a healthy lifestyle basically caught up. Within four years, their mortality rate and rate of heart attacks matched the people who had been doing these behaviors all along,” said Dr. Dana King at the Medical University of South Carolina, who led the research.  Dr. King added “even if you have not had a healthy lifestyle previously, it’s not too late to adopt those healthy lifestyle habits and gain almost immediate benefits.”

The four key habits are eating five or more servings of fruits and vegetables everyday, exercising for 2 ½ hours per week, not smoking and maintaining a healthy weight. The study participants who adopted all four healthy habits enjoyed a sharp decline in heart disease risk and in death from any cause.

It took all four — having just three of the healthy habits yielded no heart benefits and a more modest decrease in overall risk of death. Still, said Dr. Nichola Davis at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, “These benefits are on a continuum. The more of the healthy habits that you can adapt, the better. …These are modest changes that they’re talking about.”

Gambling with your health

I’m not much of a gambler, but when I do place a bet I ussually plan on winning that bet, thou most of the time the odds are stacked against me.

Giving another person or company money just in case something bad happens to you is gambling.

ALL 3rd party payer systems, private insurance or government programs are the house, the odds are stacked in their favor.  They take your bet because they expect to keep your money.

You place your bet, only the house gets to set the odds and the anti (premium).

While making monthly installments on your bet, you go about your merry way hoping you never win that bet.

Only, deep down inside something is saying, “Dang, I sure am investing a lot of my hard earned money into this bet.  Too bad I can’t come up with some way to win that bet, without getting too sick, of course.”

You never say it out loud, but you know others are thinking the same thing by what they say and how some of them display thier winnings (illnesses) with pride.

Stop gambling with your health, take a responsible role in the upkeep of your body.  If you have questions, please comment on this blog, or set an appointment.  I now have a 30 day intensive fountain youth program. The first few people that have gone through it (including me) have made miraculous progress in recovering the energy and spirit of our youth.
